Position Summary

The Director of Housekeeping Services works to ensure that the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.

Posted Salary Range

USD $18.00 - USD $22.00 /Hr.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Plans, develops, organizes, implements, evaluates, and directs the House-keeping Department, its programs and activities within budget and on schedule

  • Coordinates housekeeping services and activities with other related departments

  • Assists the housekeeping staff in the development and use of departmental policies, procedures, equipment, supplies, etc.

  • Determines departmental staffing requirements necessary to meet the housekeeping department’s needs and assigns a sufficient number of housekeeping personnel for each shift

  • Evaluates safe work practices and supervises safety, fire protection, and prevention programs by inspecting work areas and equipment at least weekly

Qualifications & Requirements


  • Must have at minimum a High School Diploma or equivalent G.E.D; college credits preferred

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a supervisory capacity in a hospital or other related medical facility.

  • Must have training in environmental control practices and procedures; certification is preferred.

  • Reliable transportation required
